House of Solus – The home of bespoke jewellery

It is well-known that no two diamonds are the same, and Birmingham–based jewellers, House of Solus, have taken this sentiment a step further.

Based in the city’s iconic jewellery quarter, House of Solus offer every client who walks through their doors the opportunity to create their very own unique piece of jewellery. Known as the home of bespoke jewellery, the jewellers are experts in the industry and provide customers with a piece that suits them.

With over 50 years’ experience, every client who visits House of Solus is greeted by a personal designer who will guide them through the process. Specialising in engagement rings, wedding rings and re-designs, customers are encouraged to bring ideas with them so the team can start bringing it to life.

House of Solus offer a one-to-one service with each client, once an appointment has been booked, whether that be online, in person or on the phone, the personal appointment in the studio will take place.

From here, Solus’ expert designers really come into their own. Whether the client wants to keep it traditional with sketches of the potential pieces or want to make use of the state-of-the-art CAD technology, House of Solus will continue to refine the design ideas until the client is completely satisfied. Clients can also get inspiration from the House of Solus’ online gallery.

Once the idea has been agreed on then the team will get to work creating your unique jewellery. The special piece will then be available for customers to collect at their convenience.

As well as designing new pieces, House of Solus are also able give a new lease of life into existing pieces of jewellery. Whether it’s jewellery that’s been inherited or old jewellery that just requires a refresh, the team’s private designers are on hand to work alongside customers to recreate their existing pieces. From here the recreation will begin with the highest level of craftsmanship.

After the process is complete, customers are left with a truly unique piece and this personal approach, shines through in everything House of Solus do. From the moment they walk through the doors clients are offered tea, coffee, or a glass of Prosecco before being assigned their own designer for the whole process. Unlike other jewellers in the industry, the sole attention will be on the customer during their appointment as no other clients will be in the studio during this time. This ‘appointment only’ approach will continue in 2019 as House of Solus continue to enhance their individualistic philosophy.

As well as their dedication to client care, House of Solus also make sure that the diamonds they use are of the highest quality. The team only use diamonds that come with a GIA certificate meaning they have been ethically sourced as well as being of a high standard.

Gemma Perry from House of Solus explained how they encompass this bespoke experience in everything they do:

“Our design team take everything into account when creating pieces for our customers. Every detail is considered, including the type of metal and diamonds which are used. We consider the type of jobs that our clients do and what would be best, or most durable for them. This is particularly important if they are in a role such as a trade worker. All of these things just help to enhance our bespoke approach to jewellery design.”

Unlike many of the jewellers in the Jewellery Quarter, customers will leave House of Solus with something that is truly unique to them and not something that can be found in any other shop window.

An aftercare service that comes complete with a 12-month warranty is also available, as well as helping with jewellery insurance meaning customers receive a full bespoke package from start to finish.
